We are delighted to announce that we will now have our plays available to schools in Ireland and Northern Ireland from June 2010.  We are hoping to hold a showcase tour during April/May, where you can see two of our most poplar productions;  Perfect – this play targets age 13 – 14 year olds and focuses on wearing seatbelts and distracting drivers.  Courtroom - this play focuses on pedestrian safety and seatbelts for children aged 7 -11.  If you are interested in hosting a play in one of your schools to sample our work please call us for a free performance 0151 703 0000.

we realise there has been a lot of budget cuts in recent years and we have decided to cut our prices during the summer term to help boroughs to continue their theatre in education programme.  For summer 2010 and 2011 we are cutting our prices by £1000.  There are limited weeks available so please book in advance.  Discounts apply to our productions, Perfect, Courtroom, Baron Chance and Second Chance on bookings during May, June and July only.

Liverpool’s Newest Fringe Theatre

The Lantern Theatre opened it’s doors to the public on Saturday 28th November 2009 with a fantastic series of events for 2010.  Founded by members of the local theatre company, tiny Giants Productions, who have established a 10 year history touring educational theatre across the UK.
The Lantern Theatre is a long awaited Liverpool fringe venue tucked away just behind Liverpool One on the 1st Floor of the old Blundell Street Works, with plenty of free parking and a fine choice of local pubs and restaurants nearby including our neighbours, THE ORCHARD, offering fine English Cuisine and a fine range of Cider!
The Lantern Theatre repertoire company will be performing original theatre and classic productions throughout the year.  Over the festive season we presented two fantastic productions… A Christmas Carol and The Snow Queen.
